Exterior painting that outlasts the rain.
Siding, trim, porches and doors, scraped, repaired and primed properly before a drop of finish goes on.
Exterior painting
The prep is the paint job.
Portland weather is hard on paint. We scrape, sand, fix dry rot and prime bare wood before the finish goes on, so it holds up through the wet months.
- Siding, trim, porches, doors and fences
- Scraping, sanding and spot-priming bare wood
- Dry rot and light carpentry repair
- Victorians, craftsman homes and new builds
- Book about six months ahead for exteriors

“A couple years ago a neighbor had their house exterior painted by G&F and a year or two later another neighbor had theirs done. Both looked very nice so we got in touch with Alex and he scheduled us up. …”
Questions
Exterior questions.
How far ahead should I book?
We are a small crew, so the exterior schedule fills up quickly, especially in peak season. We recommend booking exterior projects about six months ahead. Interior work, especially in winter, usually has more room on shorter notice.
Can you handle repairs before painting?
Yes. We do sheetrock and plaster repair, light carpentry and dry rot repair. For bigger or more specialized repairs, we can refer you to craftsmen we trust.
Will the person who bids my job be on it?
Yes. Jeff or Alex (sometimes both) meets you and writes the estimate, and one or both of them are on site each day to keep the job running smoothly.
Do you take credit cards or offer financing?
Yes. We take credit card payment, and homeowner financing is available. Estimates are always free.
